Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Jovel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Jovel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silakka tries to avoid it but Jovel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silakka to the ground. Silakka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silakka closes the distance and clinches up with Jovel, looking for a takedown. Silakka pushes Jovel against the cage but Jovel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Silakka counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silakka is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jovel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silakka.

That's time! Jovel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Silakka shoots in for a double leg but Jovel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jovel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silakka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jovel.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Silakka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jovel won't be happy with that.
Silakka creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jovel sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Timo Silakka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jovel closes the distance and clinches up with Silakka, looking for a takedown. Jovel pushes Silakka against the cage but Silakka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Jovel or perhaps it was just good defense by Silakka which made him look bad.
Silakka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I've got Silakka winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
