Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horton has chosen Ironman as his entrance music. Horton has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Nick Horton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derrick Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton gets caught napping as Ryan dives in and scores a takedown. Horton manages to retain guard.
Ryan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Ryan stands up over Horton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ryan passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Horton!

Ryan is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Horton is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Horton flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ryan anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Horton and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ryan slips an arm under Horton chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ryan has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ryan is squeezing on Horton like an anaconda would it's prey. Horton fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
