Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Drabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Buddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drabek comes to the cage accompanied by Imagine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Drabek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Buddy! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buddy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Drabek blocks a jab. Buddy stuffs the takedown. Drabek uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buddy. Buddy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Buddy swinging wildly here.

Drabek shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Drabek. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drabek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Buddy pinned against the cage. Buddy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Buddy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Drabek looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Drabek is trying to control Buddy's posture but Buddy avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buddy tries to advance position but instead Drabek slips a leg back in to half guard. Buddy slows the pace down in half guard. Drabek works his way to full guard. Good work. Buddy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Buddy's corner is telling him to maintain position. Drabek trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buddy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Robert Buddy wasn't active enough on the ground. Drabek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buddy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Drabek's half guard. Drabek is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Buddy jumps into side control! Buddy is looking to take a break and control but Drabek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buddy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Drabek kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Drabek is trying to control Buddy's posture but Buddy avoids it. Drabek tries to control but Buddy manages to take his back. Buddy controlling well, preventing Drabek from escaping the position.
Buddy just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Will Buddy go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robert Buddy dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Drabek closes the distance and clinches up with Buddy, looking for a takedown. Drabek pushes Buddy against the cage but Buddy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Buddy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Drabek sees it coming and avoids it easily. Buddy misses with a wild combination.
Buddy misses with a looping left. Drabek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buddy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A big right from Buddy misses. Drabek uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buddy.

Buddy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Drabek was covering up waiting for the punch and Buddy finishes the takedown easily into guard. Drabek keeping moving, preventing Buddy from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buddy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Robert Buddy. The fighters circling - Buddy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Drabek shoots in looking for a takedown but Buddy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Drabek's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Buddy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Drabek is trying to defend but Buddy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Drabek is not content to let Buddy control the position. Buddy not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drabek is staying active underneath Buddy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Drabek is trying to control but can't.
Buddy tries to pass to full mount but Drabek defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Buddy in particular looking to stall.

What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Drabek's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drabek is looking for a sweep. Drabek sneaks back into half guard. Drabek wants to improve his position but Buddy is controlling well.
Drabek keeping hold of Buddy's head, controlling as best he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Buddy controlling the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Buddy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Buddy throws a looping overhand right but Drabek ducks down to avoid it. Drabek getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Drabek gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Buddy. Drabek shoots in but no luck this time. Buddy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Drabek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Buddy is in Drabek's guard. Drabek wants to sweep here but Buddy controlling him for the moment. Drabek trying to keep a closed guard but Buddy is proving a slippery customer.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Drabek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nice strikes from Drabek there. Buddy regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Drabek. Buddy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drabek postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Buddy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Drabek, into his guard. Buddy content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Drabek has locked up a guillotine! Drabek's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Buddy is holding on here and Drabek must be using up a lot of energy. Buddy has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Drabek gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

A very excited looking Jeff Drabek made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
