Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knuckles comes to the cage accompanied by St. Anger-Metallica. The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: It's A Fight. Andy Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Knuckles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knuckles tries to land a front kick but Johnson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Knuckles is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Johnson wants to take a breather but Knuckles is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Knuckles with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson working over Knuckles with some ground and pound. Knuckles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Knuckles trying to control from the bottom.
Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Johnson looks to land a strike but Knuckles avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Knuckles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knuckles utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson with a nice head shot there. Johnson wants to control from the top but Knuckles keeps moving. Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throwing strikes but missing. Johnson controlling from the top position. Johnson throws a big elbow that misses. Johnson lands a couple of elbows. Johnson wants to control from the top but Knuckles keeps moving. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Knuckles is keeping the position for now. Knuckles has his hands on Johnson's head, controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Johnson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Knuckles controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself. Johnson throws a big elbow that misses. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Knuckles keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knuckles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Knuckles gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Johnson misses the body punch enabling Knuckles to counter with a crisp jab. Knuckles throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it. Johnny Knuckles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Knuckles is able to avoid easily. Knuckles throws a half hearted mid kick. Johnson throws the left hand but Knuckles avoids the punch easily. Johnson throws a right hand that Knuckles ducks under and follows up with a left that Knuckles also avoids with ease. Knuckles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson throws a poor cross that misses
and Knuckles counters with a body kick. Johnson tries to land a front kick but Knuckles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Johnson throws the kick towards the body but Knuckles avoids it. Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knuckles circles away. Johnson looks to land a body kick but Knuckles moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Knuckles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Knuckles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Johnson blocks a head kick by Knuckles.

Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knuckles circles away. Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Knuckles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Johnson thinking. Knuckles defending well as Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Knuckles uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Johnson misses with the body kick and Knuckles counters with a stiff right hand. Knuckles throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Johnson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Knuckles gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to break free but Knuckles has control.
Knuckles tries to work over Johnson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch blocked on the inside by Johnson. Knuckles tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Knuckles tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Johnson's elbow. Knuckles misses with a short punch on the inside. Knuckles throws a punch but it's blocked by Johnson. Johnson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnny Knuckles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Johnson. Knuckles misses with the head strike.
Knuckles prevents Johnson from breaking the clinch. Knuckles struggles to land a body shot inside as Johnson controls his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knuckles is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Knuckles down to the mat. Knuckles avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A jab from Knuckles misses. Knuckles closes the distance and clinches. Knuckles gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson has clasped his hands together around Knuckles's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Johnson cracks Knuckles with an elbow. That is naaassty. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson gets tackled into the cage by Knuckles. Knuckles maintains the clinch. Johnson prevents a body shot from Knuckles. Johnson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Knuckles prevents it.

Knuckles swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it. Knuckles is trying to maintain a safe position but Johnson gets an underhook and turns Knuckles into the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Knuckles. Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Knuckles misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Knuckles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Knuckles crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnson - the referee stops the clock and Knuckles gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnson. Knuckles manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. This has been an exciting period of action! Knuckles gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knuckles takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Johnson tries to land a body kick and Knuckles counters with a nice low kick that buckles Johnson's knee momentarily. Johnson blocks a head kick by Knuckles.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Knuckles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Knuckles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Johnson looks to land a body kick but Knuckles moved away. Knuckles throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it. Knuckles tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Knuckles backing up. Knuckles nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes. Knuckles tries a head kick but it misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for Johnson. Johnson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Knuckles's half guard. Johnson is thwarting Knuckles's attempts to control the position. Johnson slows the pace down in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Knuckles. I think Knuckles has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
