Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calico James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Duran Duran - Hungry Like The Wolf as his entrance music. Xavier Armstrong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Calico James's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Calico James! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong connects with a body shot that sends James's belly button to the back. Armstrong tries to clinch but James is having none of it. Armstrong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James. James misses with a hook. Armstrong ducked under it nicely. Armstrong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Armstrong tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Armstrongs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A slow jab from James misses its intended target. Armstrong slips under a jab. James keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Armstrong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Armstrong takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James lands a right hook to the body.
Armstrong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. James connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Armstrong momentarily.
Armstrong defending well as James loads up on a big left hand. James avoids a lazy jab quite easily. James swings for the body but Armstrong moves out of range.
Armstrong slips under a jab from James. Armstrong cracks the inside of James's front leg. James misses with a looping left. James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Armstrong pinned against the ropes. Armstrong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Armstrong lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Armstrong throws a leg kick which misses James's front leg but catches the back leg as James tries to avoid it. Armstrong swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by James. Armstrong staying out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong moves out of range of the strikes. James misses with a hook. Armstrong ducked under it nicely. James fails to land with a series of punches.
Armstrong moves into the clinch. Armstrong using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Armstrong digs a right hand into James's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on James's gas tank. James controlling the action here for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Both guys are working to get underhooks. A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch. James takes a knee to the side of the body. James looks gassed! Armstrong tries a body shot but James blocks it.

Armstrong is working James over against the ropes. Armstrong digs a right hand underneath James's ribcage. James let out a lung full of air as it connected. Armstrong scores with a shoulder strike. Armstrong tried to land a shot to the body but connects with James's elbow. Armstrong lands a shot to the body. Armstrong misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong lands a nice uppercut. Armstrong lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt James or not. Armstrong working James over with knees to the body. Armstrong lands with a short head shot on the inside. Armstrong lands a knee to the head.
Armstrong lands a right hand. Armstrong jerks James's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! James drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Armstrong goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Armstrong because James was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Xavier Armstrong! A very excited looking Xavier Armstrong made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
