The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maughan slaps away a takedown attempt from Baranes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Baranes throws a sloppy head kick and Maughan moves out of range easily.
Baranes throws a nice looking combination but Maughan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Maughan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baranes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maughan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Maughan misses with a wild combination.
Baranes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Maughan throws a series of punches but Baranes avoids them all with ease.
A slow jab from Baranes misses its intended target.

Baranes has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maughan tries a body shot but Baranes blocks it.

Maughan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Baranes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Baranes is trying to drag Maughan to the mat but Maughan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baranes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Maughan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Maughan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Baranes sprawling to the canvas! Baranes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maughan finish him?!

Baranes is rocked!

It looks like Avi Baranes has been cut.
Maughan darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Baranes's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Maughan before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Wilson Maughan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
