Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Buda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lorenzo Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Buda circles away.

Buda shoots in and bounces Da Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Fabio Buda just wasn't active enough.

and Buda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Buda throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Buda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Da Silva pushes Buda off looking to stand but Buda dives back in and keeps control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buda lands a nice short elbow.

Buda stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Da Silva to get to his feet.

Buda has taken the fight to the clinch.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Buda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Da Silva tries to clinch but Buda moves out of range.

Buda drives through with a takedown into Da Silva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Buda has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Fabio Buda wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
