Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kuroda Atsushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsushi lands with a nice body punch.
Atsushi connects with a leg kick. Alonso looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Atsushi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Alonso checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Alonso looks to clinch
and Atsushi counters with a nice kick to the body.
Atsushi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alonso looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alonso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Atsushi avoids it really well and circles away.

Atsushi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Alonso!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Atsushi is landing with some decent strikes but Alonso is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Atsushi avoids the attempt from Alonso to control.
Alonso is trying desperately to improve position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alonso can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alonso wants to control but Atsushi is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Atsushi landing punches.
Atsushi is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Alonso can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


It looks like Ned Alonso has been cut.
Atsushi lands a nice shot to the head.
Alonso tries to hold on but Atsushi pushes him away.
Atsushi raining down shots from the mount!


Alonso is rocked!


That has opened up Ned Alonso's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Atsushi cracks Alonso with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kuroda Atsushi!
