The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pontes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pontes with a flurry of punches that miss.
Pontes lands a couple of digs.
Pontes tries to free his leg and advance position but Moon is retaining full guard.
Pontes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Moon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pontes is aware though and is defending well.
Moon has his foot on Pontes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pontes works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Moon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pontes defends well.

Moon lying in Pontes's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Pontes decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Moon taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
