Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Dimagiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Takanawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanawa leaves Dimagiba with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dimagiba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Takanawa's waist but Takanawa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dimagiba off to one side.
Takanawa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dimagiba at a distance.

Takanawa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dimagiba on the side of the head.
Dimagiba shoots in but no luck this time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joe Takanawa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Dimagiba feints and as Takanawa raises his hands in defense, Dimagiba changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Takanawa is on top in guard.

Takanawa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dimagiba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Takanawa, into his guard.
