The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Balboa. Q does a little dance to reset his feet. Q scores with a takedown into Balboa's guard. Balboa looking for a sweep. Not yet Balboa, not yet. Q wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving. Q won't allow Balboa to get back to his feet. Balboa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Q drops back, looking for a kneebar! Balboa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Balboa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Balboa! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Q sneaks back into half guard. Q looking for submissions off his back. Q is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Q works to full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Q is on top in guard.

Q throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Balboa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Balboa keeping moving, preventing Q from controlling successfully. Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Q. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Balboa looking to control.
Q chips away with some ground and pound. Q drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Q jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Q lands a couple of decent looking shots. Balboa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Q. Q has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Q wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving. Q sitting in guard, not really doing much. Balboa controls Q momentarily but Q frees himself. Balboa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Q controls the pace. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Q won't allow Balboa to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Balboa connects with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa tries to bum rush Q with a series of wild strikes but Q uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Balboa wants to clinch up but Q keeps it at a distance. Balboa looks to land a right hand but Q moved out of range. Balboa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Q shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Balboa sprawls well. Balboa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Q gets slowly back to his feet. Balboa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Balboa throws a wild body kick that Q sees coming a mile off. Q will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Q defending well as Balboa loads up on a big left hand. Q tries for a takedown but Balboa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathin Q. That's going to take a lot out of him. Balboa throws a half hearted mid kick. A combination from Balboa does no damage. Balboa falls off balance throwing a combination
so Q counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Balboa working a defensive guard here.
Q postures up and lands a big shot to Balboa's brow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Q is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Q trying to control but Balboa is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathin Q dominated that round. That's time! Q's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Q decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Q wants to control but Balboa is keeping him busy. Q seems to be working for a kimura but Balboa defends the submission attempt. Q is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Balboa has managed to free his arm - good work. Q is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Q is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Balboa is just riding it out for now. Q eventually gives up the hold. Q stalling away here and it's allowed Balboa to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Q can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Balboa is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Q landing shots from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Q moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Balboa has worked his arm free - good work by Balboa!
Q thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Balboa is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathin Q dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Balboa missing with a left hand there. Q was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Some wild striking there from Balboa.
Balboa tries to clinch up but Q circles away and keeps his distance. Q ducks under a wild hook from Balboa. Q closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Balboa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Q moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Q shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Balboa napping and manages to drive through into side control! Balboa taking punishment in the form of punches.
Q tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Q has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Q goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Balboa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Q but great work by Balboa. Q is looking for a sweep. Balboa trying to control the position but Q is working away. Q sneaks back into half guard. Balboa is thwarting Q's attempts to control the position. Q looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Q looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Q is trying to maintain the position but Balboa is very close to passing his half guard. Balboa blocks the strikes from Q.
Q gets full guard. Balboa wanted to stand there but Q had control of the position. Q is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Balboa is aware though and is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Q looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Balboa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Q to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Balboa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Q pulls down on the head and he's put Balboa to sleep! This one is all over!
