The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loaf closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Loaf seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Starkey wants to improve his position but Loaf is controlling well.
Loaf postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Starkey to stand up.
Loaf lands with a shot to the body.
Meat Loaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loaf bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Loaf pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Loaf swings for the body but Starkey moves out of range.
Starkey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Loaf manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Loaf looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Loaf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Starkey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Meat Loaf will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Loaf takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Loaf, right into the meat.
A slapping body kick lands there for Starkey.
Loaf slips under a jab.
Loaf throws the left hand but Starkey avoids the punch easily.
Loaf thows a body shot but no joy.
Loaf misses with a low kick as Starkey jumps back.
Starkey goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Starkey tries to clinch but Loaf moves out of range.
Starkey feints and then cracks Loaf's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Loaf down.

Starkey throws a low kick, looking for Loaf's leg but Loaf calmly moves out of range.
Loaf tries to clinch but Starkey is having none of it.
Loaf uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Starkey.
That kick from Starkey tenderised Loaf's leg. Loaf is trying to keep his angry face on.

Loaf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Starkey defends it nicely.

Loaf throws a shot from downtown. Starkey moves away and avoids it.
Loaf with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Starkey to score with a decent uppercut.

Starkey has momentary wrist control but Loaf slips an elbow through the middle.

Loaf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Starkey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Loaf escapes and throws Starkey's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Starkey gets back to half guard.
Starkey is not content to let Loaf control the position.
Loaf thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starkey's head.
Starkey is looking to control Loaf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Starkey avoid being mounted?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Starkey misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Loaf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starkey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight!
Meat Loaf showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Loaf has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
