Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Gustaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Rousseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, King Gustaf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Rousseau! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Gustaf or perhaps it was just good defense by Rousseau which made him look bad. Gustaf throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rousseau's waist but Rousseau gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gustaf off to one side. Gustaf shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rousseau as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Gustaf. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rousseau shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gustaf wants to sweep here but Rousseau controlling him for the moment. Gustaf is breathing heavily. Rousseau slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gustaf bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rousseau's guard. Gustaf wants to stand and escape but instead Rousseau has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Gustaf keeping moving, preventing Rousseau from controlling successfully. Gustaf trying to keep a closed guard but Rousseau is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rousseau wants to control from the top but Gustaf keeps moving. Rousseau won't allow Gustaf to sweep him here. Rousseau makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rousseau scoring with punches to the head and body.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gustaf with a poor takedown and Rousseau counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rousseau in particular looking to stall. Gustaf tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gustaf gets full guard. Gustaf throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Gustaf looking for a sweep. Not yet Gustaf, not yet. Rousseau landing with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gustaf looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustaf keeping moving, preventing Rousseau from controlling successfully. Gustaf wants to sweep here but Rousseau controlling him for the moment.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gustaf misses with a takedown and Rousseau counters with a takedown into side control. Rousseau is looking to take a break and control but Gustaf is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gustaf is looking to regain half guard here but Rousseau keeps moving and retains side control. Gustaf is working hard here to advance position. Rousseau lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustaf is trying to improve his position. Rousseau is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gustaf has escaped the position, nice work there. Gustaf misses with a strike from the bottom. Gustaf manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rousseau's best efforts. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rousseau lands a nice short elbow. Gustaf scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rousseau manages to mount him!
Rousseau looking to secure an arm triangle but Gustaf defends it well. Rousseau punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rousseau lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rousseau throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gustaf has his hands clasped together but Rousseau breaks the hold and Gustaf is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rousseau!
