Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akisame Koetsuji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koetsuji has chosen Monster as his entrance music. Yoshi Kenshin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Kenshin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akisame Koetsuji! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenshin tries to keep at a distance but Koetsuji has taken the fight into the clinch. Kenshin is defending well against a takedown attempt. Koetsuji has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kenshin regains guard immediately. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kenshin wants to stand up but Koetsuji is controlling him. Koetsuji is looking to work some ground and pound but Kenshin has wrist control. Koetsuji works a leg free and moves into half guard. Koetsuji stops Kenshin from getting back to his feet.
Koetsuji is trying to control. Kenshin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Koetsuji is stalling here. Kenshin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Koetsuji seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kenshin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kenshin wants to stand but Koetsuji has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenshin tries to stand but Koetsuji is controlling from the bottom. Koetsuji is pulling down on Kenshin's head. It's preventing any offense from Kenshin, at least for the moment. Koetsuji is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kenshin defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenshin wanted to stand there but Koetsuji had control of the position. Koetsuji is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koetsuji is pulling down on Kenshin's head. It's preventing any offense from Kenshin, at least for the moment. Kenshin tries to stand but Koetsuji is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Koetsuji shoots in for a double leg but Kenshin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Koetsuji fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kenshin to the ground. Koetsuji is now in Kenshin's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Koetsuji stands and throws Kenshin's legs to the side, diving into side control. Koetsuji is trying to ground and pound but Kenshin uses the momentary lack of control by Koetsuji to regain half guard. Kenshin is trying to stand back up but Koetsuji is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koetsuji wants to pass the guard but Kenshin is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koetsuji not landing any meaningful shots this time. Koetsuji is working for a submission of some sort.
Koetsuji is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kenshin sees it coming and defends easily. Koetsuji throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kenshin to regain full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koetsuji accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Koetsuji drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Koetsuji jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kenshin is wriggling around but Koetsuji manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koetsuji is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akisame Koetsuji dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Koetsuji just misses with a punch to the body.

Koetsuji closes the distance and clinches up with Kenshin, looking for a takedown. Koetsuji pushes Kenshin against the cage but Kenshin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kenshin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Koetsuji thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Koetsuji loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Koetsuji lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Koetsuji sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kenshin's guard. Koetsuji working Kenshin over with strikes. Koetsuji looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koetsuji throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Koetsuji throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Koetsuji wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kenshin keeps working. Koetsuji seems to be looking for submissions.
Kenshin is trying to stand up here but Koetsuji is controlling him well. Kenshin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koetsuji on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Koetsuji not landing any meaningful shots this time. Akisame Koetsuji has got the better of the ground game so far. Koetsuji is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kenshin is defending against the submission attempts here by Koetsuji.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenshin is trying to stand up here but Koetsuji is controlling him well. Koetsuji is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kenshin defends it well. Koetsuji throwing shots but Kenshin is blocking nicely. Kenshin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Koetsuji moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koetsuji has hold of Kenshin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kenshin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Koetsuji cranks the arm and Kenshin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kenshin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Akisame Koetsuji! Our winner, Akisame Koetsuji, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
