Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Justin Case! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Canadian Kid! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Case uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Canadian Kid. Canadian Kid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Case dives in and scores a takedown into Canadian Kid's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Canadian Kid looking for a guillotine here but Case defends easily.
Canadian Kid keeping moving, preventing Case from controlling successfully. Case stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Canadian Kid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Canadian Kid keeping moving, preventing Case from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Case wants to pass the guard but Canadian Kid is keeping the position. Canadian Kid trying to keep a closed guard but Case is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Justin Case. Canadian Kid takes a body punch but keeps moving. A momentary lapse in concentration from Canadian Kid enables Case to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Canadian Kid manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Canadian Kid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Case doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Case manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Case showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Case tries to free his leg and advance position but Canadian Kid is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Canadian Kid trying to keep a closed guard but Case is proving a slippery customer.

Justin Case has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Case takes a shot right to the bread basket. A punch lands to the side of Case 's head but he takes it in his stride. Canadian Kid throws a one two combo.
Case changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Canadian Kid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Canadian Kid is looking for a sweep. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Canadian Kid struggling a bit here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Case trying to control the position but Canadian Kid is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Case dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Canadian Kid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Canadian Kid throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Case looks to land a right hand but Canadian Kid moved out of range. Canadian Kid thows a body shot but no joy. Canadian Kid looks to score with a jab to the body but Case is just out of range. Case shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Case controls from within his opponent's guard. Case with a flurry of punches that miss. Canadian Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Case gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Case slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Case is looking to take a break and control but Canadian Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Case is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Canadian Kid is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Case works his way into side control. Canadian Kid on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canadian Kid struggling a bit here. Canadian Kid has one of Case's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Case working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Case stands up and beckons Canadian Kid to his feet.

Case throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Case misses with a body kick. A swing and a miss from Case. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Canadian Kid.

Canadian Kid tests Case's chin there with a solid looking shot. Case lands a jab to the nose. Canadian Kid misses with an attempted mid kick.

Canadian Kid looks to land a body kick but Case moved away. Case on the wrong end of a nice jab. Case blocks a low kick nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Case swats away the attempt to clinch by Canadian Kid. Case ducks under a wild hook from Canadian Kid. Case drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Canadian Kid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Case doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Case manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Justin Case overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Canadian Kid is breathing heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Case accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Case trying to control but Canadian Kid is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Case dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Canadian Kid dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Case thows a left - swing and a miss! Canadian Kid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Case.

Case shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Canadian Kid's guard. Case wants to get up but he can't break Canadian Kid's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Canadian Kid is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Case seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canadian Kid is looking for a sweep. Case is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Case is thwarting Canadian Kid's attempts to control the position. Case moves into full mount! Canadian Kid won't be happy about that! Canadian Kid tries to hold on but Case postures up. Case has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Canadian Kid's face.
Jason Canadian Kid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Canadian Kid is rocked! Case working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Canadian Kid turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Case off and cradles Canadian Kid's limp body as Case celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Justin Case! Justin Case is the new welterweight champion! Justin Case bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
