Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wang Republic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joseph Bruce! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Republic.
Bruce lands a jab to the head.
Bruce lands a lovely overhand right. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bruce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Republic counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bruce's knee momentarily. Republic ducks under a wild hook from Bruce. Bruce fails to land with a series of punches.
Republic thuds his shin into the meat of Bruce's side. Bruce misses with an uppercut
and Republic makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Joseph Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Republic throws a sloppy head kick and Bruce moves out of range easily. Bruce moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Republic takes a shot to the head. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Republic just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bruce's brow. Bruce avoiding damage as Republic throws knees to the body.
Republic tries to break the clinch but Bruce is controlling the position. Bruce blocks an elbow strike. Republic trying to land knees to the body.

Republic's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Bruce lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. A bit of stalling here from Bruce.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Republic throws an elbow but misses. Republic looks to throw an elbow but misses. Bruce dodges an elbow strike from Republic.

Bruce escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Republic looks for the body kick but Bruce saw that one coming. Republic throws a body kick that misses. Republic slips a jab and a cross from Bruce.

Republic throws a sloppy head kick and Bruce moves out of range easily. Bruce is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bruce punishes Republic's body with a nice straight punch. Republic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Republic tries to land a front kick but Bruce steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Bruce dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Republic gets tackled into the ropes by Bruce. Bruce maintains the clinch. Republic missing with knees to the body.
Still in the clinch, Bruce scores with a nice short uppercut. A body shot lands from Bruce.
Bruce is struggling to control the position. A frustrated look appears on Republic's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bruce breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bruce moves into range and clinches up with Republic. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Republic wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bruce. Bruce lands with a short shot to the head. Bruce displaying some good clinch control by pressing Republic up against the ropes. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Republic just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bruce's brow. Bruce pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Republic takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A low kick from Republic is predictable there and Bruce counters with a stiff right hand. Republic leaves his chin hanging out and Bruce seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Republic crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joseph Bruce! Joseph Bruce really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that London eXchange - Laundry / Recovery logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
