Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Karen Darabedyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Popov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darabedyan comes to the ring accompanied by KDB Highlights. Popov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Be Good to Yourself . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karen Darabedyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Popov!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov is looking to clinch.

Popov tries to keep at a distance but Darabedyan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Popov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That was a close second round but I would say that Karen Darabedyan will probably get the nod.

Darabedyan catches Popov napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Popov crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Darabedyan raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Karen Darabedyan!
Karen Darabedyan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
