The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kempny lands a left and a right that send Koubra crashing to the mat, dazed. Kempny thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kempny scores with a kick to the body.
Koubra avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kempny throws a sloppy body shot
and Koubra counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kempny pushes Koubra off looking to stand but Koubra dives back in and keeps control.
Still in half guard, Koubra seems content to control.
Koubra is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kempny sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koubra is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Santiago Koubra has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kempny connects with a body shot that sends Koubra's belly button to the back.
Kempny has managed to clinch.
Kempny taking a breather.
Kempny pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kempny lands a body shot.
Kempny fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Koubra keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kempny misses with a double jab.
Kempny is breathing heavily.

Koubra drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kempny wants to stand but Koubra is controlling the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Koubra seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Koubra avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Koubra shoots for a double leg takedown but Kempny sprawls well. He's pushed Koubra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Koubra fails with a takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kempny. Koubra does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kempny fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kempny moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Koubra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Koubra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kempny wants to control but Koubra is having none of it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koubra controlling the position easily from mount.
Kempny stops Koubra from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kempny misses with a wild body shot.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kempny throws a low kick but Koubra moves out of range easily.
Koubra fails with a takedown attempt.
Koubra shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kempny defends it nicely.
Kempny misses with the combination.
Kempny is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Koubra on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kempny scores with a spinning back kick!
Koubra is breathing heavily.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kempny has cracked Koubra with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kempny lands another huge swinging hook and Koubra tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Koubra, before Kempny can land any more shots!
