Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wojtek Cieniutowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kors Svardet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cieniutowski comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - 40;1. Svardet has chosen "Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood as his entrance music. Wojtek Cieniutowski had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wojtek Cieniutowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kors Svardet! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cieniutowski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Svardet finds it's way round the side to connect with Cieniutowski's head. Svardet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cieniutowski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Svardet throws an elbow but Cieniutowski slips to the side and avoids it well. Svardet thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Svardet working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ground and pound from Svardet seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. That's two minutes gone in the round. Cieniutowski has hold of Svardet's hands but Svardet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Svardet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Svardet throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cieniutowski to regain full guard. Svardet drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Svardet jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. He's being very persistent here but Cieniutowski manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Svardet has his foot on Cieniutowski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cieniutowski works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Svardet escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cieniutowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We're going to have a standup here because Wojtek Cieniutowski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Svardet stuffs the takedown. Cieniutowski tries for a takedown but Svardet circles away easily and Svardet counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wojtek Cieniutowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Svardet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Svardet in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Svardet throws an elbow but Cieniutowski slips to the side and avoids it well. A close second round but Kors Svardet will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

He's got his arms around Cieniutowski's waist but Cieniutowski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Svardet off to one side. Svardet tries to sprawl out of it but Cieniutowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Svardet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Svardet fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cieniutowski avoids it really well and circles away. Cieniutowski shoots in and drives through. Svardet sprawls well. Nice takedown defense from Svardet. No joy for Cieniutowski on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wojtek Cieniutowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Svardet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cieniutowski tries to avoid it but Svardet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cieniutowski to the ground. Cieniutowski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cieniutowski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Svardet is fending him off so far but Cieniutowski persists. Nope, Svardet circles away and we're back to standing.

Cieniutowski leaves Svardet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Svardet darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cieniutowski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Svardet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Svardet is looking for a kimura. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that's the end of the fight! Kors Svardet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Svardet has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
