Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D comes to the cage accompanied by Plumbo - Ola Nordmann. Stout has chosen Disturbed - Criminal as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Roy D! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Stout! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! D shoots in for a double leg but Stout sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stout lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. D shoots for a double leg takedown but Stout sprawls well. He's pushed D's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. D misses with a series of wild punches.
D clobbers Stout with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. D shoots in looking for a takedown but Stout manages to keep the fight standing, pushing D's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy D. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stout takes a swing at D's ribcage but misses. Stout fakes high and swings low for a body shot but D manages to avoid it. Stout throws a body punch but D moves out of range. D shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stout as he avoids it easily. D misses with a takedown attempt and Stout counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. D fails miserably with a takedown attempt. D slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Stout tries to close the distance and clinch but D swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. D uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stout. Stout is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by D. D moves out of range of the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Stout misses the target. Stout lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
D shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stout defends it nicely. Stout misses with a hook. D ducked under it nicely. Stout swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Stout lunges at D with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by D's hand. Stout lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stout looks to score with a jab to the body but D is just out of range. Stout keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. D lands a glancing blow to the side of Stout's head. A swing and a miss from Stout. D displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stout throws out the jab. D looks for a takedown but Stout sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Stout. D does a little dance to reset his feet. D tries for a takedown but Stout circles away easily and Stout counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Roy D has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. D lands a two punch combo.
D fails miserably with a takedown attempt. D ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Stout throws a nice looking combination but D bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. D fails to land the takedown. D shoots in and bounces Stout off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. D is fighting to break Stout's control of his arms but Stout is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. D sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stout's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. D is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stout reverses the position - he's now on top in D's guard. D has his feet on Stout's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. D takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. D fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stout changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The fighters circling - Stout throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Stout throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. D looking to score a takedown here. Stout is defending well but D drives through and ends up in Stout's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stout has D pulled in close to control his posture. Stout lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for D! D wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Stout controlling his opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! D trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

D shoots in looking for a takedown but Stout manages to keep the fight standing, pushing D's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. D doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stout connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stout misses the body punch and D counters with a left and a right that stings Stout. D looks for a takedown but Stout sprawls well. A jab from Stout finds it's way through D's defenses. Stout moves into range and connects with a jab. Stout tries to clinch up. Stout lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but D circles away quickly and effectively. D shoots in for a double leg but Stout sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stout lands a nice shot to the body.
