PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilong Ranger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tabachoy Paneda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Ilong Ranger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Tabachoy Paneda!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ranger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Paneda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ranger stuffs the takedown.
Paneda should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Paneda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Paneda is looking to clinch.
Paneda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ranger circles away.
Ilong Ranger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tabachoy Paneda.
Paneda fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ranger tries to clinch up.
Ranger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Paneda as he jumps to the side.
Paneda wants to clinch up but Ranger keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Paneda as Ranger shoots in.
Paneda throws a body kick that misses.

Paneda has taken the fight to the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Ranger keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Paneda's efforts to push away.
Paneda is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Paneda manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Paneda fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Paneda has had enough of the clinch but Ranger keeps him there for the moment.
Paneda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Paneda drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ranger pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ranger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ranger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paneda swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ranger fails in his attempt to clinch.
Paneda swings for the body but Ranger moves out of range.
Ranger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Paneda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Paneda takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Paneda looks gassed!
Ranger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Paneda pinned against the cage. Paneda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Paneda looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ranger takes the fight into the clinch.
Ranger is trying to break the clinch but Paneda has him pressed against the cage.
Paneda is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Ranger wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ranger drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Paneda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Paneda tries to break the clinch but Ranger is controlling the position.
Paneda prevents Ranger from breaking the clinch.
Paneda tries for a takedown but Ranger manages to get underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ranger pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Paneda trying to control the position from guard on top but Ranger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ranger working a defensive guard here.
Ranger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Paneda!
Ranger wants to control the pace but Paneda is squirming around nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ranger is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Paneda can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ilong Ranger dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ranger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paneda tries to avoid it but Ranger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paneda to the ground. Paneda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Paneda throws a sloppy head kick and Ranger moves out of range easily.
Paneda tries to get into range but Ranger steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Paneda! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Ranger scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ilong Ranger!
