Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Dillon!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillon throws a combination. Takeshi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Dillon lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Takeshi misses with a head kick.
Dillon looks to land a combination but Takeshi avoids it well.
Dillon throws a nice looking combination but Takeshi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fighters circling - Dillon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dillon circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takeshi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Takeshi misses with a head kick.
Takeshi moves in looking to clinch but Dillon pushes him off.
Dillon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Takeshi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ryu Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Takeshi throws a combination that misses
and Dillon counters with a left and a right that stings Takeshi.
Takeshi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dillon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dillon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Takeshi - the referee stops the clock and Dillon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Takeshi. Dillon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Takeshi thuds his shin into the meat of Dillon's side.
Takeshi throws a sloppy head kick and Dillon moves out of range easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dillon misses the shot to the body.
Dillon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takeshi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dillon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A swing and a miss from Takeshi.
Takeshi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A head kick misses from Takeshi.
Takeshi swinging wildly here.
Takeshi throws a sloppy head kick and Dillon moves out of range easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dillon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takeshi manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryu Takeshi dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Takeshi tries a head kick but it misses.
A big left from Dillon misses.
Dillon takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Ben Dillon has been cut.
Dillon takes a kick to the side of the head.
Takeshi throws a head kick but Dillon moves out of range.
Dillon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takeshi at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takeshi drops his hands momentarily and Dillon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Takeshi lands a head kick!


Dillon is rocked!
Takeshi throws a head kick but Dillon moves out of range.
Dillon is still on wobbly legs! Can Takeshi finish him?
Dillon blocks a head kick by Takeshi.
Dillon gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryu Takeshi!
