Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anhel Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anhel Batista!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter North!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista has closed the distance and engaged North in a clinch.
Batista breaks the clinch.
Batista tries to score a power double leg takedown but North sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Batista somewhat.
North stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and North wants it to stay on the feet.
North is trying hard to land a takedown here. Batista sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Batista rushes North and presses him up against the cage.
North tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Batista smiles and moves away.
North feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
North stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Batista swivels though and keeps the full guard.
North trying to control but Batista is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Batista looking for submissions from the bottom but instead North passes into half guard.
Batista knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for North on the ground.
Batista desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Batista is looking for a sweep. North is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
North trying to pass the guard but Batista defending well.
North missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Batista tries to get to full guard but North has control of the leg.
North gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
North circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck for North with that takedown attempt.
Anhel Batista has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter North.
Batista slips a jab and a cross from North.
North misses with a body punch
so Batista counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
North looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
North is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Batista defends well.
Batista scoring with punches to the head and body.
North keeping full guard, as Batista tries to pass.
Batista postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
North pushes Batista off and gets back to his feet.
Batista displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from North.
Batista fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. North sprawls well initially but Batista persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batista wants to work for an arm triangle but North is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Batista is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. North doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Batista.
North actively working from the bottom here.
North on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Batista wants to control but North is keeping him busy.
North regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Batista.
North has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Batista doesn't defend quickly enough and North has managed to lock this one up! Can Batista escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to North on a fantastic submission victory.
