The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre walks into a stiff left hand from Larocque.
St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt
and Larocque counters with a crisp one two that drops St Pierre! Larocque thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves St Pierre to his feet! St Pierre is in big trouble!
St Pierre is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
St Pierre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oh St Pierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Larocque displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from St Pierre.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georges St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Larocque is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches St Pierre flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! St Pierre is out cold! Larocque holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
