Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Julio Spataro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Taylor!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spataro lands with an uppercut that bounces Taylor off the cage and back into range.
Spataro lunges at Taylor with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Taylor's hand.
Spataro shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Taylor eats them both and turns towards Spataro to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Spataro throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Spataro gets caught napping as Taylor dives in and scores a takedown. Spataro manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spataro wants to stand and escape but Taylor is having none of it.

Taylor drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Spataro dives on top into guard.
Spataro tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard.
Spataro is in close to Taylor's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Taylor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Spataro is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Taylor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taylor tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Taylor is looking to improve his position but Spataro isn't that keen on the idea.
Spataro landing punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor working to try and regain half guard.
You get the feeling that Taylor really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Taylor is trying desperately to improve position.
Spataro lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Spataro has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Taylor's face.
Taylor is desperately trying to improve his position but Spataro has a good base and remains in mount.
Spataro cracks Taylor with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Spataro working away from the top, dropping strikes.


Taylor is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spataro lands a big shot there that rocks Taylor but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Taylor is still in real trouble! Can Spataro finish him?
Spataro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Spataro in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spataro cracks Taylor with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julio Spataro!
