Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Taker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gucci Mane - I'm a Dog. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marlo Santos! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Taker 's head but he takes it in his stride. Santos misses with a two punch combination.
Taker tries to clinch up but Santos circles away and keeps his distance. Taker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Taker misses with a wild combination.
Taker moves into range and connects with a jab. Taker throws a series of punches but Santos moves out of range. Taker misses with a left hand and Santos counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Taker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taker off to one side. Santos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Taker advances position into side control! Taker working the ground and pound. Santos doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taker cracks Santos with an uppercut from hell and Santos crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Taker's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Marlo Santos has been cut. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Taker wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving. Taker throwing strikes but missing.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Taker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Taker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Taker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Taker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Taker throws a hook to the side of Santos's head but Santos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Daniel Taker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taker thuds a left hand into Santos's body. Taker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Taker shoots in and bounces Santos off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taker chips away with some ground and pound.
