Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bukk Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirk kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is That Heavenly Glory. Bukk Wild has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kirk looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Wild is avoiding damage well.
Wild defending against the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kirk staying calm. Wild prevents Kirk from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirk misses with the ground and pound. Kirk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A lull in the action here as Kirk stalls from top position. Kirk working the ground and pound but Wild is defending the strikes. Sloppy strikes there by Kirk. Kirk working the head and body with strikes.
It looks like Bukk Wild has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Wild is avoiding damage well.
Wild is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kirk content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kirk working the ground and pound but Wild is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Kirk moves into full mount! Kirk sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kirk unloads with some shots from mount but Wild bucks and avoids them well.
Kirk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirk goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Wild is on top in guard.

James Kirk dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bukk Wild's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wild gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kirk to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kirk wants to control from the top but Wild keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kirk with a flurry of punches that miss. Kirk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
James Kirk has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Wild keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kirk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wild sprawls well initially but Kirk persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kirk is looking to advance position but Wild won't allow it. Kirk not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kirk trying to mount his opponent but Wild defends it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kirk pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kirk looks for the body kick but Wild saw that one coming. Kirk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wild's guard. Kirk engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. James Kirk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kirk wants to control from the top but Wild keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of James Kirk. Kirk lands a front kick. Wild slaps away a takedown attempt from Kirk, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirk looks for a takedown but Wild sprawls well. Kirk misses with a low kick.
James Kirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Kirk or perhaps it was just good defense by Wild which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Kirk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kirk shoots for a takedown but Wild saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kirk fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wild tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kirk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wild somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wild pinned against the cage. Wild gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wild takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirk closes the distance and clinches up with Wild, looking for a takedown. Kirk pushes Wild against the cage but Wild circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Kirk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kirk shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kirk not doing much here.
Wild wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Kirk is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kirk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kirk might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kirk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wild sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kirk somewhat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wild displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kirk.
And that's the end of the fight! James Kirk showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kirk has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
