Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Parise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes into the arena with Kiss - Detroit Rock City blaring out of the sound system. George Hill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, George Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Zach Parise! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill dives in and grabs Parise's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parise pushes down on Hill's head and hops out. Parise looks to score with a jab to the body but Hill is just out of range. A big left from Parise misses. Hill is looking to clinch. Parise thows a body shot but no joy. Parise avoids the head kick by Hill.
Hill dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Parise. That did some damage! Parise takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Parise misses with a double jab.
Hill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parise connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hill throws a head kick but Parise moves out of range.
Parise tries to clinch but Hill moves out of range. Parise looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hill misses with a low kick. Parise rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hill counters with a good low kick that Parise was not able to check. Zach Parise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Parise is looking to clinch but Hill is avoiding it.
Hill shoots in for a double leg but Parise sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hill avoids the body shot from Parise.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parise misses with a few strikes there.
Parise doesn't manage to clinch there - Hill circles away.
Parise misses with a low kick. Parise swings for the body but Hill moves out of range.
Hill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parise circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hill throws out a leg kick but Parise moves out of range and Hill only half commits. Zach Parise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parise is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hill.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Parise sprawls well. Parise wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hill gets slowly back to his feet. Parise lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hill at a distance.
Parise moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Parise throws a big shot that misses. Hill takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hill turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hill moves forwards but Parise connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hill tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Parise is able to avoid easily. A big left from Parise misses. Hill scoring well with a low kick there.
Parise moves out of range of the body kick from Hill.
A head kick by Parise misses and Hill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parise misses with a straight right. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parise misses with an uppercut. Hill saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zach Parise dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hill shoots for a takedown but Parise saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Parise scores with the left hand. Hill knows he should have avoided that one. Parise fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hill looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A looping hook to the body misses from Parise. Hill does a little dance to reset his feet. Hill throws a leg kick and Parise connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Parise throws the left hand but Hill avoids the punch easily. Some bone on bone action there as Parise checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Hill throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Parise counters with a left and a right that stings Hill. Hill misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parise connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hill scrambles back to his feet. Hill is looking to land body kicks. Parise moves in looking to clinch but Hill pushes him off. Parise throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hill counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Parise looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hill is one step ahead there. Hill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hill looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parise working a defensive guard here.
Parise is pulling down on Hill's head to control his posture. Parise can't keep his opponent in guard - Hill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hill looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Parise manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hill stopping the sweep attempt from Parise. Hill drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Parise dives on top into guard. Parise trying to control the position from guard on top but Hill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hill has his foot on Parise's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parise works his way back into a safe position though. Hill is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Parise tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard. Parise throws a sloppy strike and Hill has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Parise is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Hill!
