Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eoin Scullion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Catdad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scullion comes to the cage accompanied by Momma Said Knock You Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eoin Scullion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Douglas Catdad! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Catdad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scullion pinned against the cage. Scullion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Scullion looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Excellent takedown into side control there by Catdad. Catdad working the ground and pound. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Catdad thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Catdad in side control, just content to control the action for now. Catdad is looking to take a break and control but Scullion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catdad tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Catdad scoring with punches and elbows. Scullion tries to escape but Catdad is in control. Catdad tries to move to mount but Scullion blocks the move with his legs. Catdad slows the pace down. Catdad is looking to take a break and control but Scullion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Catdad working the ground and pound. Catdad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scullion keeps working. Catdad just content to control the position. Catdad tries for a kimura but Scullion is defending well. Scullion is trying to work for a sweep but Catdad has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scullion in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Catdad trying to control but Scullion is having none of it. Catdad landing strikes from the mount and Scullion is in trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Catdad scoring with strikes but Scullion is staying in there. Catdad trying to control but Scullion is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Catdad controlling his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Catdad with shots to the head and body - Scullion looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Catdad moves into the clinch successfully.
Catdad tries to break the clinch but Scullion is controlling the position. Catdad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Catdad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Catdad lands in his opponent's guard. Catdad passes Scullion's left leg - he's now in half guard. Catdad is keen to just control but Scullion is a slippery customer. Catdad might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Scullion kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Catdad decides to stand up. Catdad doesn't manage to clinch there - Scullion circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catdad throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Scullion tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Catdad is in Scullion's guard. Catdad is pushing down on Scullion's leg trying to pass to half guard. Scullion is fighting to maintain full guard but Catdad has managed to sneak the leg through. Catdad landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Catdad perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Douglas Catdad has got the better of the ground game so far. Catdad is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Scullion defends it well. Scullion won't allow Catdad to pass to mount. Catdad trying to control from half guard but Scullion is working away. Catdad is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Catdad wants to take a breather but Scullion is having none of it. Catdad decides to stand up. Catdad shoots in looking for a takedown but Scullion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Catdad's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Scullion tries to move into range but Catdad moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Catdad fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Scullion sprawls well initially but Catdad persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Catdad looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Catdad trying to control from half guard but Scullion is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Catdad not doing much here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Catdad is looking for a kimura here.
Catdad lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Catdad is nestled in close to Scullion, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Catdad not landing any meaningful shots this time. Catdad stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Scullion to get to his feet. Douglas Catdad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Catdad fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Scullion to the ground. Catdad is now in Scullion's guard. Catdad stands up from guard. Let's bang! Catdad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Catdad lands in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scullion avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Catdad trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Douglas Catdad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Catdad fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Scullion, pushing him back against the cage. Catdad is trying to break free. Catdad has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Scullion regains guard immediately. Scullion being controlled here, momentarily. Catdad must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Catdad throws a big elbow that misses. Catdad makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Catdad stands up from guard. Let's bang! Scullion takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Catdad closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catdad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scullion keeps working. Catdad is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Catdad is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Catdad has hold of Scullion's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Scullion manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Scullion defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Catdad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Catdad unloading with bombs! Catdad lands a heavy elbow. Catdad content just to control the position here. Catdad looking to control but Scullion is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Catdad avoids the attempt from Scullion to control. Douglas Catdad is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Scullion is trying desperately to improve position. Catdad is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Scullion is forced to tap! Great finish!
