Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Szariskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Dydra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szariskis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is 'Sonne' by Rammstein. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Krzysztof Szariskis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sammy Dydra! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szariskis lands with a slapping head kick. Dydra shoots in for a double leg but Szariskis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Szariskis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dydra counters with a nice double leg into guard. Szariskis has his foot on Dydra's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dydra works his way back into a safe position though. Szariskis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dydra trying to control the position from guard on top but Szariskis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Szariskis is looking to stand up but Dydra isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dydra tries to free his leg and advance position but Szariskis is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Szariskis throws a head kick that half lands.

Szariskis lands a jab-cross combination. Szariskis punishes Dydra's body with a nice straight punch. Szariskis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Szariskis postures up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dydra decides to stand up, so the ref orders Szariskis to his feet. Dydra gets a takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Krzysztof Szariskis. I think Szariskis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
