Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginokai Kai Gi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dexter Morgan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ginokai Kai Gi! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan gets a double leg takedown into Kai Gi's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kai Gi has his foot on Morgan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morgan works his way back into a safe position though. Morgan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kai Gi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morgan has managed to get both his arms back between Kai Gi's legs - danger averted. Morgan cracks Kai Gi with a solid left hand. Morgan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kai Gi is keeping the position for now. Morgan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kai Gi's guard. Morgan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kai Gi is just riding it out for now. Morgan eventually gives up the hold. Kai Gi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kai Gi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Morgan pulls his head out easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morgan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Morgan connects with a nice short shot to Kai Gi's temple. Morgan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kai Gi! Kai Gi is looking to get to half guard. Morgan lands a big elbow. Morgan tries to control but Kai Gi wriggling away. Kai Gi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Morgan with the ground and pound from mount. Morgan wants to finish this one by submission but Kai Gi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Morgan. Morgan scoring with strikes but Kai Gi is staying in there. Morgan landing strikes from the mount and Kai Gi is in trouble! This has been an exciting period of action! Kai Gi is desperately trying to improve his position but Morgan has a good base and remains in mount. Morgan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kai Gi's face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kai Gi is rocked! Morgan lands a big elbow. Kai Gi is still in real trouble! Can Morgan finish him? Morgan looking for a guillotine from mount but Kai Gi is having none of it. Morgan in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Oooh a big shot lands for Morgan! Kai Gi is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
