The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali misses with an uppercut
and Villegas counters with a nice body shot.
Villegas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ali.
Villegas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ali looks to land a right hand but Villegas moved out of range.
Villegas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ali.
Villegas scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Ali takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slow jab from Ali misses its intended target.
Villegas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ali circles away quickly and effectively.
Villegas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ali avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ali throws a lazy right hand but Villegas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Villegas.
Villegas lands a right hook to the body.

Villegas lands a leg kick that knocks Ali off balance momentarily.
The fighters circling - Ali throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Villegas clobbers Ali with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ali tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Villegas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Mo Ali has been cut.
Ali walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ali takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ali has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Villegas finds it's way round the side to connect with Ali's head.
Ali is rocked!
Villegas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Villegas drops Ali with a huge uppercut! Ali drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Villegas is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
