Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rahman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 50 Cent - Ready for War. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dwayne Waters!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Rahman!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Waters ducks under a wild hook from Rahman.
Carlos Rahman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rahman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Waters has clasped his hands together around Rahman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Waters thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Waters wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rahman keeps working.
Waters misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rahman is looking to reverse the position.
Waters is working Rahman over with some ground and pound from side control.

Rahman struggling a bit here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rahman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Waters is chipping away with strikes.
Waters creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Waters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Waters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Waters lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rahman down.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Waters sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rahman is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rahman struggling a bit here.

Waters is trying to get an arm triangle but Rahman is defending well.
Waters is working Rahman over with some ground and pound from side control.
Rahman takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Waters wants to control but Rahman is keeping him busy.

Waters wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rahman, who protects the arm well.
Waters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Waters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rahman has escaped the position, nice work there.

The strikes coming from Waters are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Waters has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rahman is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Waters yanks on the arm and Rahman is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Waters.
