Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry William French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). French has chosen Blaze of Glory as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Glen Gunner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry William French! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunner shoots in and bounces French off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunner is looking to work some ground and pound but French has wrist control. French utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. French throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
French bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gunner's guard. Gunner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gunner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. French manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunner controls the pace of the fight for a moment. French tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gunner stops French from standing up. Gunner wants to pass the guard but French is keeping the position. Gunner is working hard here to advance position. French not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. French wants to stand but Gunner is controlling the position. Gunner sitting in guard here, content to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. French stalks Gunner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gunner's face. Gunner staggers backwards, shaken. Gunner wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. French lands a jab-cross combination. French avoids the head kick by Gunner.

French looks gassed! Gunner misses with a double jab.
Gunner throws a right hand that French ducks under and follows up with a left that French also avoids with ease. French throws a combination that misses and Gunner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunner takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Gunner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gunner looking to throw knees to the head but French is blocking nicely.
Gunner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gunner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. French slow jab from Gunner misses its intended target. Gunner closes this distance looking for a takedown but French circles away. A big right from French misses. Gunner tries a head kick but it misses.

Gunner moves out of range as French strikes. French throws a leg kick and Gunner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gunner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Henry William French seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gunner slips under a jab. Gunner scores with a one two! French had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Henry William French is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. French scores with a jab. Gunner acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Gunner throws a head kick that half lands.
A low kick from French is predictable there and Gunner counters with a straight punch to the midsection. French tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gunner swats him away and circles back towards the center. French misses with a few strikes there.

French feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gunner sprawling to the canvas! Gunner rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can French finish him?!
Gunner is rocked!
It looks like Glen Gunner has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! French lands the left hand. Oh Gunner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. French misses with a two punch combination.
French cracks Gunner with a left hook right on the temple and Gunner goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! French lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Gunner is OK!
