The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waul fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Paulsen checks it well.
Waul misses with a wild combination.
A big left from Paulsen misses.
Waul throws a sloppy head kick and Paulsen moves out of range easily.
Paulsen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Paulsen misses with a body kick.
Paul Waul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paulsen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Paulsen is looking to chop away at Waul's legs.
Paulsen catches Waul with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Paulsen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Waul. That did some damage!

Paulsen throws a front kick aimed at Waul's knee but Waul avoids it well.

and Paulsen counters with a solid body kick.
Paulsen misses with a head kick.
A head kick from Paulsen lands but Waul takes it in his stride.

It looks like Paul Waul has been cut.
Waul cracks Paulsen with a good jab.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Paulsen. Waul shrugs it off though.

Waul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paulsen.
A slapping leg kick lands for Paulsen.
Paul Waul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Paulsen lands with a right and another and another! Waul is in big trouble! Paulsen lands again and this time it's lights out for Waul! A quality knockout there for Paulsen.
