Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Sakamoto! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Sakamoto misses. Macintosh walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sakamoto looks to score with a jab to the body but Macintosh is just out of range. Macintosh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sakamoto.
Macintosh closes the distance and pushes Sakamoto back into the cage. Macintosh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Macintosh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Macintosh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sakamoto. Macintosh looking for a guillotine here but Sakamoto defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sakamoto trying to control but Macintosh is working from the bottom. Sakamoto cracks Macintosh with a solid left hand. Macintosh is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Macintosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakamoto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sakamoto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macintosh looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sakamoto trying to control but Macintosh is working from the bottom. Macintosh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sakamoto is aware though and is defending well. Macintosh trying to control the position.
Macintosh has his foot on Sakamoto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sakamoto works his way back into a safe position though. Sakamoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macintosh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sakamoto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Macintosh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Macintosh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Macintosh prevents Sakamoto from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macintosh is trying to work for a kimura but Sakamoto is defending well.
Macintosh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sakamoto pushes Macintosh off looking to stand but Macintosh dives back in and keeps control.
Macintosh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sakamoto sees it coming and defends easily. Sakamoto is not content to let Macintosh control the position. Macintosh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sakamoto keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Macintosh in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sakamoto tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Macintosh!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bud Macintosh! Our winner, Bud Macintosh, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
