Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bourque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Springs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Bourque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nate Springs!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque lands with a hook. Springs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Springs misses with an uppercut
and Bourque connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Springs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bourque moves away.
Bourque looks to land a combination but Springs avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Springs. Bourque does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bourque fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Springs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
