Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Moses told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Hitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moses gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hitz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hitz checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hitz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hitz wants it to stay on the feet.
Moses shoots for a takedown but Hitz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Moses takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hitz throws a hook to the side of Moses's head but Moses sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Moses tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hitz swivels and escapes.
Sam Hitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Moses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Hitz.
Moses shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moses.
Hitz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Moses's head backwards.
Hitz lands a lovely overhand right.
Moses throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hitz's waist but Hitz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moses off to one side.
Hitz jabbing away but nothing is landing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hitz tests Moses's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Moses's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hitz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moses scrambles back to his feet.
Hitz misses with a double jab.
Hitz throws a one two combo.

Hitz jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hitz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hitz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Moses doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Hitz to counter with a crisp jab.
Sam Hitz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Moses scores with a takedown into Hitz's guard.
Moses throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hitz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hitz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Moses controls from within his opponent's guard.
Moses throws an elbow that misses. Hitz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Moses's guard. Nice move by Hitz!

Hitz working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Moses's head.
Hitz tries to free his leg and advance position but Moses is retaining full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moses has his foot on Hitz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hitz works his way back into a safe position though.

Hitz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Moses is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hitz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hitz is working Moses over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hitz wants to control from the top but Moses keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moses had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hitz defends it easily.

Moses is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hitz defends well.

Hitz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moses has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hitz has managed to get both his arms back between Moses's legs - danger averted.
Hitz wants to control from the top but Moses keeps moving.
Moses is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hitz rolls with it to try and escape but Moses cranks on the arm and Hitz is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
