Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Bradstreet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Bradstreet!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bates tries to clinch but Bradstreet moves out of range.
Bradstreet looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bradstreet throws a jab but it's blocked by Bates.
Bradstreet connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nice sprawl there from Bates as Bradstreet shoots in.

Bates shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bates showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bates trying to control the pace.
Bates wants to pass to mount but Bradstreet is defending the position.
Bates passes into side control, despite Bradstreet's attempt to control the position.
A lull in the action here.

Bradstreet takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bradstreet is trying to escape the position but Bates is controlling the position.
Bates's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bates knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bradstreet on the ground.
Bates cracks Bradstreet with a big right hand but Bradstreet just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bates lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Bradstreet tries to bench press Bates off him but Bates keeps the position.
Bates looks up at the clock and then as Bradstreet takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bates smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bates decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bradstreet to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bradstreet prevents the takedown attempt.
Come on Bates - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bradstreet tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bradstreet is trying to drag Bates to the mat but Bates just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bates tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bradstreet avoids it.

Bradstreet avoiding damage as Bates throws knees to the body.
Bates drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bradstreet pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bates tries to clinch up but Bradstreet circles away and keeps his distance.
Bates shoots in looking for a takedown. Bradstreet tries to sprawl out of it but Bates keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bradstreet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Bates. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bradstreet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bates misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Bates's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bates tries to clinch but Bradstreet moves out of range.

Bates has control of Bradstreet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bradstreet regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chris Bates overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bates has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chris Bates has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Bates closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bates is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bradstreet can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Bradstreet wants to get back to his feet.

Bates has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bradstreet's face.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bates sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bradstreet's guard.

Bradstreet looks to land a combination but Bates avoids it well.

Bradstreet gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bates is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bates closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bradstreet to the mat! Bradstreet manages to get full guard.
Bates forces his way into half guard.
Bates uses his free foot to push down on Bradstreet's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bradstreet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chris Bates showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bates has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Chris Bates decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
