Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Mora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Baker! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker misses with an uppercut. Baker tries to land a leg kick but Mora saw it coming and moves away.
Baker is looking to chop away at Mora's legs. Mora drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Mora throws a series of punches but Baker avoids them all with ease. Mora shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baker but Baker pushes him off and we're back to square one. Baker thows a left - swing and a miss! Baker throws a body punch but Mora moves out of range. Mora looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Baker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Baker just misses with a punch to the body.

Mora shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mora showed some decent athleticism there. Mora sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Baker defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mora looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mora looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Baker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mora. Mora is looking to advance position but Baker won't allow it. Mora is keen to just control but Baker is a slippery customer. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mora wants to control but Baker is keeping him busy. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Baker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mora. Baker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mora. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mora missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Baker tries to roll over but Mora keeps him under control. Baker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mora lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mora missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mora slips a nice elbow through Baker's hands, connecting with Baker's forehead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mora trying to pass the guard but Baker defending well. Mora looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mora throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Baker tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mora has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Mora is working for a guillotine from mount but Baker frees his head quite easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mora trying to control but Baker is having none of it. BOOM! Mora connects with a massive shot to the dome!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mora punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alejandro Mora dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mora wants to take a breather but Baker is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mora is looking for a kimura but Baker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mora to get the leverage. Mora passes to full mount! Mora with shots to the head and body - Baker looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mora landing strikes, looking to finish!
Baker is rocked! Mora lands a big elbow. Baker is still in real trouble! Can Mora finish him? Mora working the ground and pound effectively.
Baker is trying desperately to improve position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baker can do anything to dispel that myth. Mora landing strikes from the mount and Baker is in trouble! Mora lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mora connects with a bit shot that sees Baker covering up! More strikes from Mora and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Mora is our winner by TKO!
