Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yves Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kidd has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Yves Kidd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yves Kidd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwayne Johnson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kidd tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kidd's guard now. Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Johnson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kidd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace. Kidd has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle. Johnson throwing strikes but missing. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Johnson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kidd works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson throws a big elbow that misses. Kidd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Johnson is working Kidd over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kidd trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Kidd uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Kidd! Johnson pushes Kidd off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kidd sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.

Johnson passes to full mount! Kidd regains half guard. Johnson not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a strike but Kidd avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Johnson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kidd trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson working some strikes from top position. Kidd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dwayne Johnson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kidd slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kidd rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kidd dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Kidd's head and hops out. Yves Kidd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kidd with a lazy takedown attempt and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kidd to keep the fight standing. Yves Kidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwayne Johnson. Kidd is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kidd pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Kidd blocks nicely. Johnson distracts Kidd with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Johnson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Kidd blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kidd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dwayne Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Johnson gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidd trying to hold on to Johnson's head to control him but Johnson postures up.
Kidd has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Johnson is thwarting Kidd's attempts to control the position. Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Dwayne Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson lands strikes from half guard. Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kidd trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Johnson manages to pass to mount!
BOOM! Johnson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson lands a heavy elbow. Johnson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dwayne Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kidd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kidd! Johnson prevents Kidd from getting the reversal. Johnson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kidd turns into him and now he's in Johnson's guard.
Kidd throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Kidd is working from the bottom. Kidd trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kidd is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kidd, up you get! Kidd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kidd is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnson connects with a decent elbow. Johnson controlling the position from side mount. Johnson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kidd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Johnson misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Johnson is staying tight to Kidd's torso, preventing him from escaping. Johnson wants to control but Kidd is keeping him busy. Johnson is putting a hurting on Kidd here, landing some big shots from side control. Kidd on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kidd tries to get out of the position. Kidd regains half guard there - taking advantage of Johnson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kidd has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Dwayne Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
