Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alpha Male (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen drop the world as his entrance music. Alpha Male has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alpha Male! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rickson Rua! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Male throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Rua counter with a right hand. Rua bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Male swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rua counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Some wild striking there from Male.
Rua blocks a low kick nicely. Male really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Male thows a body shot but no joy. Male pushing out the jab but it's not landing. No joy there for Male, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Male misses with a few strikes there.

Male scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like Rickson Rua has been cut. Male looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Male throws a head kick that misses. Male fails to land with a series of punches.
Male looks to land a left hand but Rua moved out of range nicely. Alpha Male seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Male gets caught napping as Rua dives in and scores a takedown. Male manages to retain guard. Rua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Male on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Male tries to get out of the position. Rua with a flurry of punches that miss. Rua makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Male wants to stand up but Rua is controlling him. Rua stopping the sweep attempt from Male. Rua is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua working some strikes from top position. Male will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rua throwing strikes but missing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rua with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Male is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rua is controlling him. Male keeping moving, preventing Rua from controlling successfully. Rua cracks Male with a solid left hand. Rua loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rua has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Male utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rua drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rua jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rua's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rua engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Rua postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rua stops Male from standing up. Male working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rua. Rua throws a strike but Male rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rua is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Male has his hands clasped together but Rua extends an breaks Male's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rua.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rickson Rua! Rickson Rua is the new middleweight champion! Rickson Rua very nearly forgot to thank Knockout Nutrition (150Q $25) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
