Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mat Cauthon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Nova Terra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cauthon comes to the cage accompanied by Five Finger Death Punch - The Bleeding. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nova Terra tries for a takedown but Cauthon circles away easily
and Cauthon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cauthon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nova Terra fails to land the takedown.
Cauthon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nova Terra.
Cauthon lands with a nice combination. Nova Terra backs away looking to recover.
Nova Terra misses with a lunging right hand
and Cauthon counters with a three punch combo that has Nova Terra backing up. Nova Terra nods at Cauthon to acknowledge the strikes.
Cauthon misses with a few strikes there.
Nova Terra moves into range and clinches up with Cauthon.
Cauthon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nova Terra pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Nova Terra wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Cauthon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nova Terra can't fight it off and eventually Cauthon manages to take the fight to the floor. Nova Terra looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nova Terra wants to stand up but Cauthon is controlling him.
Cauthon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nova Terra dives on top into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nova Terra tries for a takedown but Cauthon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cauthon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cauthon is working for a submission of some sort.
Cauthon stops Nova Terra from getting back to his feet.
Cauthon wants to pass to mount but Nova Terra is defending the position.
Cauthon uses his free foot to push down on Nova Terra's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nova Terra.
Nova Terra bucks up and throws Cauthon to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Nova Terra is breathing heavily.
Cauthon slips under a jab.
Nova Terra gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nova Terra has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Cauthon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Nova Terra wants to control but Cauthon is keeping busy.

Nova Terra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cauthon is proving hard to escape from.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nova Terra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cauthon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nova Terra has managed to get both his arms back between Cauthon's legs - danger averted.
Mat Cauthon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cauthon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Nova Terra uses it to pass to side control.
Cauthon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Cauthon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nova Terra is just riding it out for now. Cauthon eventually gives up the hold.
Cauthon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nova Terra has managed to free his arm - good work.

Nova Terra tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cauthon manages to move to mount!
Cauthon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Nova Terra jumps guard and drags Cauthon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cauthon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nova Terra is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cauthon, into his guard.

Cauthon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nova Terra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nova Terra gets to his feet. Cauthon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cauthon wants to take the fight to the mat but Nova Terra manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Nova Terra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nova Terra throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cauthon on the side of the head.
Nova Terra takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Nova Terra closes the distance and pushes Cauthon back into the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mat Cauthon.
I think Cauthon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
