Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kalash Nikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haiki Masatupo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikov comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Mind Tricks- Uncommon Valor (A Vietnam Story). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nikov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nikov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nikov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Nikov wants to break the clinch but can't.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masatupo looking to secure an arm triangle but Nikov defends it well.
Nikov is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Masatupo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nikov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nikov shrugs it off.

You can see the frustration on Nikov's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A determined Kalash Nikov didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
