Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borya Byvalyi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Holl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Borya Byvalyi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Borya Byvalyi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Holl! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matt Holl drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Byvalyi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Matt Holl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Matt Holl with a nice head shot there. Byvalyi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Matt Holl trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Matt Holl avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Matt Holl postures up and lands a big shot to Byvalyi's brow. Byvalyi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Matt Holl defends well. Matt Holl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byvalyi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Byvalyi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Matt Holl scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matt Holl trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Byvalyi keeping moving, preventing Matt Holl from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matt Holl working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Matt Holl controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Matt Holl throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Byvalyi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Matt Holl is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Matt Holl has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Byvalyi throws a jab when Matt Holl was well out of range. Matt Holl misses with a few strikes there.
Byvalyi throws out a loose jab but Matt Holl uses good head movement to avoid it. Borya Byvalyi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Byvalyi. Those never looked like landing. Matt Holl gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Byvalyi. Byvalyi throws a body punch but Matt Holl moves out of range. Matt Holl fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Byvalyi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Matt Holl counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Matt Holl wants to control from the top but Byvalyi keeps moving. Byvalyi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Matt Holl trying to control but Byvalyi is working from the bottom. Matt Holl connects with a couple of short punches. Byvalyi has momentary wrist control but Matt Holl slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Byvalyi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Matt Holl lands a couple of decent looking shots. Matt Holl seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Matt Holl trying to control the position from guard on top but Byvalyi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Byvalyi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Matt Holl has passed into half guard!
Matt Holl is looking to advance position but Byvalyi won't allow it. Matt Holl stalling. Matt Holl's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Byvalyi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Matt Holl pulls his head out easily. Matt Holl looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Matt Holl lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matt Holl takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Byvalyi is rocked! Matt Holl is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Byvalyi is hurt! He's hurt bad - Matt Holl fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Byvalyi from any more punishment! Congratulations to Matt Holl! Great finish!
