Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Beardsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Brett James! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James takes the fight into the clinch. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sloppy strikes from Beardsley. Those never looked like landing. Beardsley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. It looks like Peter Beardsley has been cut. Beardsley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
James cracks Beardsley with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. James has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Beardsley to stand back up!
Beardsley is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beardsley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Beardsley. Oh Beardsley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Beardsley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? James is fending him off so far but Beardsley persists. Nope, James circles away and we're back to standing. James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beardsley, pushing him back against the cage. James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Beardsley seems to have got his legs back now. James connects with a nice cross there... Beardsley is looking wobbly and James recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Beardsley to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - James jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
