Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Fairley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Fairley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrey Kozlov! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozlov gets the takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fairley wants to control but Kozlov postures up. Kozlov throwing shots but missing, from side control. Fairley takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Fairley struggling a bit here. Fairley is looking to reverse the position. Fairley sneaks back into half guard. Kozlov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fairley is looking for a sweep. Kozlov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kozlov thows a huge punch but Fairley dodges it nicely.
Kozlov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fairley defends it well. Fairley wants to control but Kozlov is keeping busy.
Fairley is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Fairley is defending against the submission attempts here by Kozlov.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fairley tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fairley tries to roll over but Kozlov keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fairley flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fairley manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kozlov postures up in Fairley's guard and throws a big left but Fairley blocks it. Fairley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kozlov is one step ahead there. Fairley trying to keep a closed guard but Kozlov is proving a slippery customer.
Kozlov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fairley works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fairley tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fairley keeping moving, preventing Kozlov from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozlov forces his way into half guard. Kozlov with the ground and pound but Fairley uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kozlov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fairley works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kozlov forces his way into half guard. Kozlov wants to work for an arm triangle but Fairley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fairley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Fairley working a defensive guard but Kozlov passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kozlov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fairley sees it coming and defends easily. Kozlov blocks the strikes from Fairley.
Fairley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fairley looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kozlov trying to mount his opponent but Fairley defends it. Kozlov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fairley's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kozlov seems to be looking for submissions.
Kozlov wants to take a breather but Fairley is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrey Kozlov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kozlov with a lazy takedown attempt and Fairley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kozlov's guard. Fairley looking to sit in guard and control but Kozlov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozlov trying to control but Fairley is working from the bottom. Fairley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kozlov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Fairley is tightening it up a little... Kozlov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kozlov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kozlov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Fairley!
