Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Hammany (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Zombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zombie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rob Zombie - Dead Girl Superstar. Noel Zombie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Hammany! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noel Zombie! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zombie takes the fight into the clinch. Zombie stops a takedown attempt from Hammany.
Zombie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A leg kick checked by Hammany. Zombie lands a lovely overhand right. Hammany avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hammany takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hammany is rocked! Hammany takes the fight into the clinch. Oh Hammany is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hammany is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zombie can't fight it off and eventually Hammany manages to take the fight to the floor. Zombie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hammany looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hammany seems to have got his legs back now. Hammany trying to control but Zombie is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Zombie holds on and takes a little breather. Hammany passes into half guard. Hammany passes to side control. The ground and pound from Hammany seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Zombie can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Zombie is being controlled here. Hammany thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hammany controlling the position. Hammany tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammany wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zombie, who protects the arm well. Hammany tries to move into full mount but can't pass Zombie's legs. Zombie can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zombie is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hammany is staying active. Hammany advances nicely into full mount. Hammany can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zombie is looking to escape. Hammany controlling from mount. Hammany is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zombie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zombie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Zombie clinches but Hammany breaks the clinch and Hammany counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hammany is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Zombie gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Zombie tries to break the clinch but Hammany is controlling the position. Hammany goes for a takedown in the clinch but Zombie prevents it.

Zombie tries to clinch up so Hammany counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Zombie is trying to keep Hammany in close.
Hammany trying to control the position from guard on top but Zombie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zombie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hammany stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zombie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammany sitting in guard, not really doing much. Zombie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zombie is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Zombie keeping moving, preventing Hammany from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zombie jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hammany takes the fight into the clinch. Zombie breaks from the clinch.
Zombie wants to clinch and Hammany counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hammany. Zombie misses with a knee to the head. Hammany escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Noel Zombie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zombie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. James Hammany is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hammany closes the distance and clinches up with Zombie, looking for a takedown. Hammany pushes Zombie against the cage but Zombie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Hammany. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Hammany 's head but he takes it in his stride. Zombie misses with a hook. Hammany ducked under it nicely. Zombie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zombie wants to clinch and Hammany counters by moving into the clinch. Zombie gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hammany.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hammany is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zombie pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hammany turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hammany manages to end up in side control. Hammany looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Who's going to make the next move?

Hammany is looking to take a break and control but Zombie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hammany working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hammany controls the position from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zombie closes the distance but Hammany moves to the side and Hammany counters with a single leg into guard. Zombie didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammany pushing down on Zombie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Zombie is refusing to be controlled, as Hammany sits in half guard. Hammany seems to be working for a kimura but Zombie defends the submission attempt. Hammany wants to pass the guard but Zombie is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammany prevents Zombie from improving his position. Zombie is staying active underneath Hammany, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Zombie is trying to stand.
Zombie is holding on to half guard well. Hammany is tying to control. Zombie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Zombie tries to clinch but Hammany moves away and Hammany counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zombie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Zombie keeping full guard, as Hammany tries to pass. Hammany won't allow Zombie to get back to his feet. Hammany sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hammany passes Zombie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammany frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hammany looking to control but Zombie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Zombie tries to hold on but Hammany pushes him away. Hammany with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hammany has hold of Zombie's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zombie manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Zombie wants to control but Hammany is having none of it. Noel Zombie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zombie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! James Hammany showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hammany, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
