Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiachi Kazuya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roy Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiachi Kazuya!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Kazuya is avoiding it.
Kazuya fails with the takedown.

Kazuya closes the distance and clinches.

Kazuya tightens his grip and picks Jackson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jackson manages to land in guard.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kazuya trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Kazuya wants to stand but Jackson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kazuya decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donk. Jackson catches Kazuya right on the button with a cross.
Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kazuya counters by moving into the clinch.
Jackson tries to stall but Kazuya uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jackson misses with an elbow over the top.
Jackson wants to break free but Kazuya has control.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kazuya has him pressed against the cage.

Kazuya escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Kazuya counters with a left to the body.
Jackson clinches but Kazuya breaks the clinch

so Kazuya counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kazuya stops Jackson from standing up.
Kazuya trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kazuya passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kazuya on the ground.
Kazuya is trying to ground and pound but Jackson uses the momentary lack of control by Kazuya to regain half guard.
Kazuya throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kazuya wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position.
Kazuya is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Kazuya is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kazuya is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kazuya looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kazuya passes the guard and advances to mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Kazuya there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiachi Kazuya dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kazuya shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
Jackson clinches but Kazuya breaks the clinch

and Kazuya counters by clinching up.
Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Kazuya.
Kazuya lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kazuya's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A nice left hand lands by Kazuya.
Kazuya is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jackson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Roy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiachi Kazuya.

Kazuya is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jackson lands with a light punch inside.

Jackson gets underhooks to prevent Kazuya's takedown attempt.

and Kazuya counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kazuya lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kazuya wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Kazuya passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kazuya passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jackson!

Jackson is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazuya jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kazuya has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson looks to clinch
and Kazuya makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Kazuya counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson has Kazuya up against the cage in a clinch.

Kazuya jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.
Jackson wanted to stand there but Kazuya had control of the position.
Kazuya throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiachi Kazuya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Jackson tries to bum rush Kazuya with a series of wild strikes but Kazuya uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kazuya fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jackson closes the distance but Kazuya moves to the side

and Kazuya counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kazuya wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Kazuya throws a big right hand that misses.
Kazuya slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kazuya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kazuya shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kazuya decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kazuya closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kazuya closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Kazuya pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kazuya tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Roy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiachi Kazuya.

Kazuya prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch.
Kazuya fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jackson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kazuya takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Kazuya counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jackson!

Jackson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kazuya.
Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Kazuya's attempts to control the action.

Jackson is trying to escape the mount.
Kazuya throws a wild left hand from mount and Jackson manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Kazuya stalling away here and it's allowed Jackson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hiachi Kazuya comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kazuya winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
