Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Sickamore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sickamore comes to the cage accompanied by It ends tonight. Johny Cage acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Sickamore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johny Cage!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage keeps the fight on the outside.
Sickamore tries to clinch but Cage is having none of it.
Sickamore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cage's waist but Cage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sickamore off to one side.
Johny Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sickamore gets caught flat footed, as Cage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sickamore wants to get back to his feet but Cage is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cage is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johny Cage wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sickamore gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cage to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cage avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sickamore trying to keep a closed guard but Cage is proving a slippery customer.
Cage tries to free his leg and advance position but Sickamore is retaining full guard.
Cage is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sickamore. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sickamore looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sickamore is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johny Cage.
Cage lands a body shot.

Sickamore has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Ryan Sickamore has been cut.

Cage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sickamore sprawls well initially but Cage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cage wants to pass to mount but Sickamore is defending the position.
Cage is nestled in close to Sickamore, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cage tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sickamore controls his leg.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cage wants to pass to mount but Sickamore is defending the position.
Cage seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johny Cage was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Cage throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sickamore's head.
Sickamore moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Cage dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ryan Sickamore's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sickamore throws a front kick aimed at Cage's knee but Cage avoids it well.
Sickamore throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cage gets a double leg takedown into Sickamore's guard.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sickamore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sickamore looking to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cage's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sickamore pulls Cage in close to his closed guard and prevents Cage from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ryan Sickamore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sickamore pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Cage lands a head kick. Sickamore smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Sickamore takes a jab right on the kisser.

Cage feints and as Sickamore raises his hands in defense, Cage changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sickamore has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cage off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sickamore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sickamore is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sickamore swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sickamore has a closed guard, preventing Cage from standing up.
Cage seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johny Cage.
Cage lands a really nice looking cross but Sickamore seems unphased.

Cage decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sickamore is looking for a sweep. Cage is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cage keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sickamore wants to get back to his feet.
Cage tries to stand and escape but Sickamore is controlling the position.
Cage wants to pass to mount but Sickamore is defending the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johny Cage hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sickamore is looking to clinch.
Sickamore dodges the punch combination from Cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Cage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ryan Sickamore's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Cage defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sickamore.

Cage lands a big head kick that sends Sickamore tumbling to the mat! Cage takes a step backwards and waves Sickamore back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Sickamore is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sickamore steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cage. That one must have hurt.
Oh Sickamore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cage is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Sickamore hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johny Cage!
